127th Surfman Award: Father's Day

Happy father's Day to all the father's out there. This is my son in his bike seat, after a ride around the city. This little guy continues to amaze me and bring joy to my life. Something that I am thankful for each and every day.

126th Surfman Award: Nick Cardy

Nick Cardy is a golden age artist that is still going strong at the age of 90. I recently discovered a new book about him called The artist at War, that is filled with a series of illustrations and paintings that he had done to document his adventures in WWII. The book has some really great interviews and story details to accompany each picture, I would recommend it to history buffs and fans of Mr Cardy. I was also amazed to find out that he had contributed to the original STAR WARS movie poster after doing some research on him, which of course makes him one cool cat in my eyes...you rock Nick!!!!!
