81st Surfman Award: Becoming Batman

E. Paul Zehr has written a wonderful book that looks at what it would really take to become Batman in today's world. Zehr uses his background as a neuroscientist, kinesiologist and martial artist to pose the question: Could a mortal man become Batman? He actually looks at what kind of training it would take and how long a person would have to train to reach Batman's level. A rather interesting idea for a book. So if all you wanabe supes feel that you can just put on a cape and go fight crime, than maybe you might want to think twice and pick up Zehr's book instead.

80th Surfman Award: A Brand New Year

My wish is that 2009 brings better energy and flow throughout the world than 2008 did. Hopefully we can learn from the past to enrich the present and future.
